I first pursued my passion in Oriental culture by undertaking Japanese studies in Cluj, Transylvania and then in Budapest, Hungary.
Shortly after moving to England 12 years ago, I undertook 4 years of study for a licentiate in acupuncture and naturopathy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, London.
The facial rejuvenation acupuncture journey started right after graduation at the acupuncture college. First I studied with Radha Thambirajah and Anthony Kingston. Later I developed more interest in the constitutional aspect of facial acupuncture so I started studying methods developed by Mary Elizabeth Wakefield. Through these techniques I have confidence in delivering treatments that both support the constitution and give lasting results.
facial rejuvenation acupuncture & gua sha facial massage
My passion is to design individualised treatments.
According to traditional sources and my clinical experience the face is much more than just a superficial part but a reflection of what is going on inside.
My approach is inspired by inner developments such as meditation and Buddhist studies and by the tones of Chinese Medicine.
I understand that in this busy city people need methods that are effective, gentle and relaxing. On the face I combine gua sha deep facial massage with facial acupuncture. Because of the very fine needles you will mainly feel energy circulation and slight tightening of the facial muscles. Facial issues are rooted in the constitution, thus underlying bodily-emotional imbalances are equally addressed in the sessions.
Gua Sha facial massage on its own is a nice alternative if you prefer treatments with no needles. It is like a facial workout that tones the facial muscles and has beneficial effect on the skin. It also harmonises the body through the meridians running through the face.
